you mean 3.0L vulcan? You'll need the ECU, wiring, i'm not sure if your tranny will bolt up to a 3.0L but I thought the 4 cyl and 3.0L trannies were the same.

the 2.3L and 3.0 trannies are the same. The 4.0s had a beefed up version of the same transmission to handle the extra power and torque from the 4.0.

You will need basically everything out of the donor vehicle. Engine, wiring harness, and countless little this's and thats. It would be best to have the entire vehicle at your disposal if you are actually serious about this swap. It can and has been done, but it's not a plug and play procedure.

And, with my two cents... the 3.0 is NOT worth it! IMO, keep your 4 cylinder, or get the 4 liter engine. The power gains of a 3.0 over a 2.3L are MARGINAL to say the least, and your gas mileage will be as bad or worse than the 4L engine.

Aren't they the M5OD though?

Wait nevermind it's 1994. I'm thinking more recent.

2.3L lima and 3.0L power about the same? haha..i'll smoke lima's and duratec's all day AND I have played around with an OHV 4.0L in my bodystyle, only difference is that it was an automatic with exhaust, and my truck was stock at the time, we stayed neck and neck for a while.
