to flush or not to flush?

alright. so my radiator is filled with dirt and gunk at 151,000 miles and its getting hot out, and overheating will be an issue.... now, the right thing to do would be flush it. but i got a problem. it leaks from a couple places, but slowly, and i honestly think that all the dirt residue in the radiator is the only thing keeping me from having bad leaks.

i can flush it and clean poor thing, but ill risk more radiator leaks?

or i can not flush it, and worry about the dirt that might be in my engine?

suggestions?

Might look at getting a good replacement.. they arent too expensive, and are fairly easy to replace.. minus on my own truck.. I found I had to remove the whole fan to get the shroud off to get a bunch of stuff out of the way. But, it might be the wiser choice.

Radiators are super easy, replace it along with any hoses that may be soft, brittle or cracking.

You may want to looking into having yours cleaned and inspected first. It sounds like its ok just needs some TLC.

Im not sure what "a couple of places" means. If its the end caps then buy a new radiator.
