Fuel pressure regulator?

How do I test my fuel pressure regulator? I have been looking at some posts but...

I don't see a tee on the fuel pressure regulator. There is just one braided line that goes into it. Is mine spring controlled rather than vaccum or am I looking in the wrong place? Also I borrowed my buddies pressure tester and the shreder valve appears to be smaller than the gauge. Is there a specific size adapter I need?

I bought a guage and it had an adaptor with it for ford but I don't think it pushed the valve stem in far enough. It took 5 minutes fir pressure to build up to 65. I got my own guage and clamped a hose to it . Took the stem out of the Schrader valve and clamped the hose to it and had perfect pressure
