Intake and Throttle Body spacer

So i got bored and went and spent more money yesterday on a throttle body spacer cause we do tonnes of driving.highway. and its supposed to help, full money back guarantee so we'll see...and i got an Airaid Intake for it also. took all about 20min tops and it was all installed..now when i drive at about 2000rpm-4000rpm it sounds like a bloody turbo..it hits 2000 and whistles then when it shifts it sounds like a turbo..i was like hmm..everyone around here turns to look at the ranger..anyone else have this? or am i the lucky #1..ill post pics on cardomain today.

Yeah I have the PowerAide throttle body spacer and I just modded my old intake and I have that sound. I've had this on here for god knows how long and i honestly have to say that I felt a better throttle response when I did this. Some say they are a waste of money and a hoax, but to each their own. Besides even if it doesn't do a damn thing...it still sounds kick ***.

i bought mine from leo, 45$ i still got it on, it may have helped with throttle response i dont know

i love the way it wistles too, wait till you get a intake... when i got my MAC intake the thing wistles so much louder. i really dont think it helps with gas mileage. the thing i do know is if it is whisting i think you use more gas so if you can drive it without it whisting then you will save gas.

Had one on mine relized i just wasted a bunch of money because it doesn't do anything. It is old tech that is better applied to old intake designs.

It is a waste of money for no gains on new engines.

No but I have an open mind and would like to hear any testimonys from those who have. I mean I am willing to take some risk and try some things out but just not this one. So if I hear how great it works I might try it.

its not like seat in your pants power or anything like that, but it does help a little. i wouldnt buy a new, its definatly not worth that 150 or whatever it is. i got mine for 40 shipped, now its worth that.
