Just about had it

When I first got this truck, i loved it. I still do. But problem after problem it seems to be. First with the freeze plus. Then with the ticking noise, still not fixed. Now with my tranny. I have to put ALL my weight into it just to get it to go in 1st gear. and i have to slam 2nd gear. The rest of the gears are fine. It a 5speed tranny. What could be my problem. I think im about to break my arm just shifting the truck.

Ok. Im not going to argue there. At all. I do want a new one. Just cant find one i like for a good price. I want a edge stepside 4x4 4.0L. I just dont have 15 grand laying around. I guess im screwed either way. This truck is just a temp to get me through one year. Then I was planning one finacing for a new one.

I like your line of thinking!

Through all my years of cars and trucks. I must admit I'd rather make the money and then make the payment -vs- fixing junk.

If I can help ya get it through the next year just let me know. I've been there done that!

Check the fluid level first. And does it get harder to shift when it's got some heat into it?

Manual trans huh?

slave/master issues. i have a nice truck, and deal with those issues plenty of times. lol. I regularly call my rigs, b!tch!, s!ut!, pile o ****, and the like. They all treat me good. maybe try that.

I have done that too. It sometimes helps. lol. Only when the truck is running and in nutrual it will be VERY hard to get into 1st gear. 2nd gear is not as hard but its not very easy either. I have tried to check the fluid in it but i cant get the fill bolt out. I have almost stripped it. My gpa that owned it before said he has had the hydrolic clutch go out. but he said it was just a part of it. could he be talking about the slave cyl? that is the one that comes out of the firewall, right? My arm is about had it though. Ive never had this problem with a manual before. So im a little lost. This is my first dometic car as well. I have always had import sport cars. So you my have to Dr. Sueus is for me.
