Leak - Coolant or Power Steering?

So today was around 0* and I started my Ranger, it's a 2006 4.0 with 77K on it.

I noticed after a ride there was small pool on the passenger side. I am not sure where it is coming from, and it was way too cold to dig around for it. The color and consistency was clear, and since it wasn't frozen after an hour I am thinking it is either power steering fluid or coolant.

I was wondering if anyone has had a leak that was in this area and could offer some suggestions? I already looked at the thermostat housing, and it looks dry so I don't think it is that.

Have you tried dabbing the leak with white paper to get an idea of the color of the fluid, and have you tried tasting it to see if it's oil or coolant?

white paper I will try tomorrow - I know for sure it is not motor oil as it's not brown.
