I have a 1994 ranger manual with 4.0. Its had a check engine light So I got a paperclip and read the code. Its giving me "Maf- voltage below minimum. " It was too late to work on it outside, So I erased all codes. Now It's idling low and Dies when AC is on. Sometime it dies at the stop light for no reason. I'm not sure if this is directly related to me Erasing the codes because Im not sure it erases engine data also. It wasn't Dieing like this earlier today. So I going to clean the MAF and IAC and see if that helps. What else could it be?

Well I drove to town a couple times and its seems to be running good now. I think the computer must have gotten cleared out completely and it took a couple miles for the computer to relearn the engine. I have yet to clean the MAF, I havent had a chance to go to the auto store yet. I'm hoping that will turn my check engine light.
