MAC intake question...

Ok, intakes....how many times has this question been asked? lol

I was looking at the MAC, and was curious about a couple things. I see alot of you guys are running the MAC intakes, are you happy with them?

Is the Intake tube stainless?

Does it sound pretty cool? I've heard the steel intakes sound pretty nice with an exhaust. Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

I'm really happy with mine. For the price, it's a well engineered part. The pipe looks stainless, but it could just be chrome plated. No rust, so I'm guessing it's a good grade of metal. Sounds much better than stock, with a good loud "snort" when the engine needs air.
Their airfilters are also pretty good. No excess oil (like K&N), and even after 2 years mine didn't seem all that dirty. For $26 I just purchased a new one, and have the old as backup.

Is it made well?

I'm torn between the MAC and the Fram Boost.

I'm running an Airhog in the stock box right now.

I'll probably end up with the MAC. Is there anything else I should know about it before I head to the checkout counter? lol anyone have some pictures they could throw up real quick?

Im in the same boat as Zach, when i get one, i wont even use the oiled filter. Amsoil filter is what i'll end up getting with the MAC tube.

im glad to see you guys have your heads on stright with the filters, the AMSOIL ones are definately the way to go nowadays.

the MAC is a great intake, ive never had any complaints about it. I also like the volant with its closed box design. we have quite a few intakes on our site that fit your application

id have to see the dimensions on the MAC filter to offer the amsoil one, but even so, with AMSOILs strict policy, i cant show it on my site, it would have to be ordered via AMSOIL via my site, or through me directly.
