manual transfer case question?
manual transfer case question?
i dont wanna sound stupid but because i have no clue and dont wanna **** **** up i have a question. when you have a button to switch into 4x4 you can do it on the fly. i was wondering if you can switch a manual case while moving into 4x4 high?

If I remember correctly it can be shifted into 4HI on the fly up to 50 MPH. I haven't personally tried it going more than about 10, but It works the same as the electric setup. BTW Maurice did you get that manual case for yours yet?

Oddly enough, the 2002 and 2003 Ranger owners manuals have different instructions for manual SOTF between 2HI and 4HI.
The 2002 owners manual has 2 different speed limitations based on the ambient temperature:
