msd 6a ignition

hey guys, would it be worth the time and money for me to put on a msd 6a ignition box? i can get one for 90$ and my buddy put ohne on his truck and noticed a good improvbment? just let me know what yall think.......

factory ford igintion systems are actually really good. what engine and year truck u got?

unless ya got more air/fuel in ur engine it wont make much difference. they do on carburated engines...

Yeah, you don't need it. It will result in no change of performance, really. As was mentioned, the Ford ignition has good wires and very hot coils from the factory, strangely enough.

Put the money into something that will get you more use. That's a good start on a programmer or chip and that would be a great thing to save up for.

By the way, everyone notices an improvement from a performance mod, whether it's there or not, lol. Beware and look for dyno proof, track times, etc. posted somewhere whenever possible.

thanks guys for the help, looks like im gonna start savin up for a chip. iv been told bamba? is that th right way to go? whats the hp/toure rating for them on average? if anyone know let me know. but yeah thanks for the help

ya doug at bama is the man...i think u can get several options but the average is 15-20 hp and torque...then the electric fans are good for another 5-10...
