Borla Pro XS... hands down the best sounding muffler i've heard for an SOHC. Had one on my old truck, going to have one on my new truck.

I personaly reccomend FlowMaster! If you want sound go with FlowMaster, FlowMaster saves me anywhere between 1-3 mpg depending upon how hard I drive. You can orer them off of thier website I think.

I'd say flowmaster. The 40 series sounds really good on an SOHC.

I have a 02 4.0 and I had a Flowmaster 40 series put on it and noticed no sound increase. The trucks have to many CATS on them. If restricts the airflow to much before it gets to the muffler. I run straight out of the CATS into duels and it sounds great.

I doubt an exhaust is going to save you 1-3 MPG...

Do you have any other mods that would of helped your MPG?

Borla and Magnaflow is probably your best choice for a 4.0

Right click save as the click in my signature, i have a Center/Offset Borla muffler..

I'm just gunna pop in here a give some support to Gibson. It's just a little louder than stock, and has a nice deep tone. Which is what I like!
