Cruise Control...

Cruise Control...
I have done my searching, I swear! But what I really want to know is if I need a so called clockspring in my steering if I want to put in cruise control. I understand that my ranger is a XLT value package... I checked under the hood and the wiring harnass is indeed there for the cruise. So do I just need the servo, cables, and switches on the steering wheel?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I believe the regular CS has 3 or 4 conductors (horn and airbag) and the cruise-type CS has 6. Check the clockspring harness running down the PS of the steering column to a 6-pin connector. The cruise wires are light blue/black and dark green/orange. If you have those wires, then you should have the correct CS for cruise control.
One other thing: the plastic trim on the back side of the steering wheel is cut out to clear the CC pod switches. You will need to either get that trim or maybe you could cut yours out for the pods.

Ok, so um... Problem here,
I got a new wheel, buttons, servo, and cable. The guy @ the j/y looked up the part numbers for the clockspring for a '03 ranger with cruise and WITHOUT cruise, and they were both the same #s. So I assumed that my cs was ok. Hooked everything up and I looked @ the female plug on the clockspring and it has 5 pins. The original wheel only used 2 of them for the horn. So I am assuming that this is the correct clock spring. My problem is that the cruise still does not work, BUT the horn does. So are there any suggestions you guys have? I have checked any relays/fuses that would correspond to cruise and they were fine and in tact.
HELP ME PLEASE!!!
