I have an 01 ranger and when i get on the gas right before it shifts there is a weird noise, almost sounds like a crackling noise. I have not been able to figure out what it is, it does not do it when you rev it up in park but it does it every time you take off down the road. I have been reading about the timing chain issue and I think it could be that but I wanted your thoughts. Any info is great, thanks guys!
