Maybe you are over oiling your filter.

Clean it with throttle body cleaner. Some throttle bodies has a teflon coating though and the cleaner can remove it.

I used throttle body cleaner on everything. It worked fine for me. Use at your own risk though.

There is a specific MAF spray cleaner. Don't touch the wires.. just spray them.

Now on the TB. I've always used a tooth brush and "throttle body cleaner". **Don't use** "carb cleaner. They are two different things!

Also, there is a clear coating on the TB plate and inside diameter. I cleaned mine with the proper spray and it still disolved this coating. I wound up having a flaky idle and the truck would drive on it's own at 20mph!

I fixed it by very carefully grinding down the stop pin until I had a 0.005" gap around the plate.

Just note.. that after you clean it, that if the idle and slow speed driving is different? The fix is easy.. PM if you need help.

Rich
