What should I replace while I am fixing the timing chain?
I am planning (mostly saving up) to pull my 4.0 SOHC out and replace the timing chain, caskets, tensioners the whole 9-yards. And I was curious on what else I should replace while the engine is out. Right now it has 146,xxx miles and all completely stock. I wouldn't mind making more power out of it because I do want to eventually off-road it but I am not sure if it is worth putting money into this engine vs dropping in a 5.0 V8.
What are your thoughts? I don't really have a budget, I will just save up longer and want to do it all at once. Thanks!

Is there a reason u wanna do this work? 2010 isn’t a trouble year as far as tensioners go.......I say if it isn’t making noise leave it alone. Now performance, well I think u are pretty limited , however u could S/C it...U could do headers exhaust and a tuner but I wouldn’t plan on netting more than 10hp...but u can pick up another 1-2 mpg from a tuner.Id be interested to see some info on a 5.0 swap or maybe a 2.3 ecoboost . Mostly I’d say the latter
