well, got two of these for free.

the downside is, the inside of the muff is rusted a bit.

some holes in the dividers inside the mufflers.

is this a problem?

will it be louder like this? will it sound ****tier?

quick question, is there any kind of break in period or anything on brand new muffs?

the truck feels different after the new muffler...

but it could also be my first day back in the hot vegas weather with the AC on compared to being in california not ever having to use AC for the last week..

Just wait about a week for it to "break in" aka get covered in sutt/carbon. Then it'll sound better once gunk build up has been completed.

idk its almost like the truck is slower.

but again, ive been driving around in southern california not using the AC.

now im back to vegas with 100*+ temps AC on all the time.

is there any reason the truck would feel more sluggish after throwing on a 40 series??

AC + hot *** air goin' into the engine = sluggish biat.

What size pipe? Did you put on JUST a muffler w/ stock pipe? dumped tailpipe?

You could dump it, but it will be louder. Some people on the site didn't like the way it sounded after being dumped, i think they said it droned too much, others however loved it. Luckily dumping is cheap.

Like Fx4wannabe said that 100+ degree air isn't so "hot" (sorry I had to) for your engine. Even with the A/C off, if you live in areas with those high temperatures I'd suggest an e-fan.

^^I don't suggest an efan...they suck! literally and figuratively. When I had one, i kept overheating my truck....and everything was working properly efan wise.....just kept running friggin' hot!
