problems with my inertia switch.
my ranger only has 4,000 miles on it and it has seen the tow truck 4 times already. the inertia switch keeps brakeing not tripping. i dont have my license so the truck has never been off-roaded with. if it happens one more time my dad is gona file it as a lemin law and get a new one. has anyone elts have or had this problem?
have they replaced it? ... the dealer could just be replacing it and not finding the actually problem, a short to it somehow ...
mine shorted out on me once ... had to rig it up so i could get to work to replace it....

pass side footwell
at the top of the carpet in the corner
you can trip it with a key once you know where to look (really freaks the driver out when the truck dies)
there must be an intermintent short somewhere and when you hit a good enough bump it shorts out.... tell the dealer to fix it besides throwing a part at it .... first time it happened ok could have been a bad part .... 2nd or 3rd time they should have dug deeper into the problem....
if its a closed circuit all the time ... a short would effect it .... now if it was an open circuit all the time then ya a short wouldnt effect it....
