Q? for exhaust gurus

ok is the area after the factory manifolds where the cats bolt up the same on my truck (2002, 4.0L, AT, ext cab) as what would be on a 1994 4.0L, AT, EXT. CAB?

i am thinking of buying a off road pipe, for my off road only trail rig, from a guy preaty cheep and need to know if it will bolt right up... do i need an o2 bung

i"m guessing its a stronger pipe... is the guy local?
if so I'm sure he'd let you test fit it. if not just ask for more pics and go unbolt yours and compare. sorry I'm no guru so I dont know the answer

free'er flowing

less hot stuff for weeds/leaves to get stuck on and catch fire

and lounder exhaust tone... i would think..

i am sure some people here have straigh piped their rangers .. did you notice any differances?

how did it perform? and noticable power increses? how did it sound ? what muffler did you have at the time?

just get a magnaflow or borla muffler, and run a complete exhaust. i dought you will ever need more flow then what that will give u.

flowmaster sucks. sorry. a strait pipe / cut off u are going to loose way too much power.

borla get a pro xs version.

magnaflow it really isnt gona matter they are all the same and around 100$ check ebay or some main muffler online stores. i will post some links tomorrow when on high speed internet

that would work, you want sound or just performance? u can get the same performance and a little more sound out of a borla.

ok ill have to check that out... i have decided to ditch the off road pipe idea...

but i might look into getting a new muffler... if what you guys say is right about the flowmaster flowing to much and not making any power...

i do like the sound of it though... but its alittle on the hollow side...

how does the magnaflow and borla sound
