question about O2 Sensor

my O2 sensor threw a code so i looked at all three of them the one right before my catalyic converter on my driver side has a hole burnt in the side of the wires. i have looked and the wire is not in the way or around any heat. is there anything that causes the wires to burn or did it just go bad? thanks in advance for your guys help..

Could have got too hot, or it coul dhave melted itself to the negative...

I would just try to splice and repair it if the actual sensor itself isn't bad.

Yea, just try to splice in a new wire. I doubt your o2 sensor is bad already..but I could be wrong.

Something caused it to malfunction, so I would look into it
