Recall?

Hey everyone, well i FINALLY got the authorization to get my truck shipped out. but its on an extremely tight timeline as the authorization expires on the 9th of jan. anyways, just this week, my dad got a letter in the mail from ford..

My truck has a recall.. I guess that there could be an underhood fire at ANYTIME even if the key is not in the ignition.. ITs due to the speed control device malfunctioning..

anyone got any idea how long it will take for the ford dealership to fix this???

They basically just splice the wire and added a fuse...I think. They did it almost a year ago.

You don;t even need an appt to take it in, just call ahead and make sure they have the part.

Not a bad idea. I bet the dealerships charge an arm and a leg to work on an American truck over there.

You should post up some pictures of your truck since it's been lifted. Don't think I've seen any.

My dad had mine (before I got a hold of it) taken in last year for this recall. Like everyone else said, he was in and out in 5 minutes. Tech just took out the old module and popped a new one in.

your truck looks great with the lift BTW. That thing is going to freak the Germans out. Oh,while you're over there, tell them I hate Cadillac Cateras.
