Rough Idle, Hesitation at WOT
Rough Idle, Hesitation at WOT
Little background. 94 Ranger 4x4 OHV, 5 speed. Sat for about 15 years, 70k original miles.
Does run and drive. Engine shakes at idle, can feel it in cab. Idles perfectly when warm ~700rpm.
Only other issue, if I stomp on the gas, the engine hesitates, bogs down, then comes back up after a second.
Started testing, replacing and fixing items. I'm fairly proficient around an engine.
Compression test on all cylinders was good. In about 4% of each other 142-148 psi on all 6 cylinders.
No fault codes with Engine test check jumper, 111 - Engine check ok
Removed the motor for the oil pan. Started doing seals, and other normal maintenance.
Checked timing chain, replaced water pump.
Oil pan, timing cover, water pump, throttle body, thermostat, upper and lower intake gaskets, rear main seal.
Reman injectors, flow tested, new O-rings. New plugs, wires, and coil pack. - Plugs good color, not fouling or lean.
Replaced or tested ICV, MAP, TPS, ECT.
Checked for vacuum leaks - no leaks
Fuel pressure is 30psi
Manifold Vacuum is 17in @ 2000ft alt
Removed catalytic converter so see if they were clogged, no change.
I'm probably missing a bunch, but I've gone though it all! Maybe lol.
I feel like I have gone through every single thing on this truck I can think of multiple times. Can't seem to fix this idle and bog issue.
I keep thinking it's a TPS but voltage tests perfectly. Also doesn't matter on Open or Closed loop.
Any help would be appreciated.
