Shaking of the Front End
For some reason the front end of my truck shakes when I am driving at higher speeds. It used to be about 65-70mph and up so I finally got around to getting my wheels balanced and that apparently wasn't the problem. Today it started shaking around 57-60ish. Any ideas what it is? Thanks for all the help!!!

Mine shake too, and always has since new...I blamed the OEM tires and balance....Rebalanced...Still shakes....Changed to BFG Long Trails....Still shakes....Tire shop said a wheel was bent....Dismounted tires and spun wheels...All very good....I have accepted it as the nature of the beast...BTW, my old 2wd 92' Ranger did it too....I bought it new, and sold it at 136,000 miles because I wanted a new truck....NEVER replaced a front steering/ suspension part or needed alignment since new! I'm not real worried about my 2004.
BUT, do be sure to check or get checked, all possible issues, as it is not worth chancing something being in need of repair or adjustment. I never replaced parts on the 92' but checked them often.
PS. my shakes come on around 65 mph, and disappear around 72mph

my truck had the same problem. then, i got it balanced by using roadforce balancing (it's for 4x4's with bigger tires) the sho that did it, found that my wheel was bent. it was so slight that the computer even barely caught it. but, i ordered a new wheel went back had it put on and SMOOTH RIDING from then on.

I think I may have figured out what the problem is, I think my front end is a little out of allignment. I noticed some rough wear on the outside of the front right tire & on the inside of the front left tire. I think I have done a little to much rough off-roading lately. I am getting it alligned tomorrow morning @ 8am.

I had it alligned yesterday and that wasn't it, but it did need alligning. They said it was big time out of allignment on all 3 of the scale that they use. I guess to much off-roading will do that...
