Just started but it just got cold too. sounds like a squeaky tensioner. Just wandering if anyone else had this problem before and should i be thinkin about buyin a new one..lol!!!! I'll get a vid w/sound up in the morning. it seems to go away after its warmed up after awhile!!

 

bingo, ive got the same thing. its the tensioner. just havnt got around to changing it. if you have someone give it gas you can see it wobble with the noise.

 

i just thought it odd to be that with only 47k. but i guess it is what it is!!! thanks!!

 

Yeah dude, I bought an aftermarket one from autozone, cheaper than a factory replacement. get a gatorback belt while you're at it

 

^x2 ya when i changed the tensioner pulley i put a gatorback on as well. its a smart move.

 

Yup, no complaints about the belt. Cheaper than a factory replacement, doesn't squeek, and it just looks badass, lol

 

well i had to revise this thread in case other people was having same problem. i took a closer look into what coulda been making the sqeaking noise. I noticed my harmonic balance is dancing back and fourth a lil. Makes sense that it only does it when cold and goes away after it warms up. Theres rubber bushing in it and when it cold i guess its hard ,but now because it dancing i suppose its puttin a lil stress on the tensioner making it squeak a lil. So im going to replace the harmonic balance though i still believe is a lil premature on a 06 that just turned 49k.
