Hi all, first post but have been getting great help and information from the forums for years. Here's the issue I'm having with my 02 4.0: a couple weeks ago I left work and got about 50 yards down the road and the engine just shut off, RPMs to zero. As I'm rolling to the curb still in drive the engine refires and I continue on my merry way. I know that isn't right, but for the next few weeks it runs great, no issues, so i write it off as an anomaly. Then this past weekend I road trip up into UT, all freeway, running about 75mph most of the way. About 3 hours into the run I start to feel what seem like small misfires, then the engine does the same thing: it shuts off but then restarts within a couple of seconds. A couple of minutes later it does the same thing, and then again. All of this was on uphill grades, running pretty hard close to the speed limit of 80, with the AC on. I slow down to about 60, pull into the right lane with the trucks, and the problem doesn't happen again until I'm off the freeway and climbing a pretty steep grade up the mountain road. I pull off and stop, let things cool down for about 10 minutes, and then am able to finish the trip without it happening again. On the way home a couple days later I start to feel the misfires again while going uphill, but before it dies I turn off the AC and slow down a bit, and the misfires seem to stop.

I'm thinking fuel pump, but since that's not an easy job and also is a rather costly part I thought I'd run it past the good folks here to see if there's any suggestions. Fuel filter was changed about 2 years ago.
