i can think of atleast 3-4 more trucks that have that same charger on it. its not that rare really.

now an M112 on a 4.0 that is alittle rare but has been done.

They do have a supercharger for the 3.0.....Whipple makes it

 

but not for that old of a truck

the 3.0L whipple is for 2002 and up right? i've heard rumors of people making some small mods for it to fit a 2001...can anyone confirm this?

 

ive heard it but dont know for sure.

at www.generation-edge.info there is a how to on a 99 ranger 3.0 for the whipple check it out.

 

what about the 99 4.0's. I havent found ANYTHING for those things that will drimaticly increase HP

 

BBk use to put out a supercharger for the 4.0 ohv, but stopped because there were so few sales.

 

The BBK is not in production and have a good time finding one and hope you never break it.

Doug Studdard (owner of Bamachips) put a whipple on his 99 3.0, took some work, don't remember what it was though. He has since sold the Ranger and is now driving a 05 Rousch Mustang.

 

I have a write up on a supercharger setup for the 4.0 OHV. It uses an Eaton M90. It can be done and I am planning on doing it within the next 6 months.
