That is a supercharger for the older 4.0 OHV. The new rangers have the 4.0 SOHC.

Nah thats good link. Not everyone is rich enough to have the SOHC. BTW is it relatively easy to switch a SOHC into a 99 3.0? I'm wondering because the local harbor master crashed the departments ranger, and im thinkin of seein if the engine in it stil works.
