Throttle Body Spacers

I had a few questions on the goods and the bads of putting one of these in my 4.0, if there were any benefits of them.
I heard that they make your intake whistle or such, does anyone have some expertise advice or information on this part?
Thanks

id try it out. anybody who says its a waste doesnt have one.

i found the same reply about wheel spacers, and they work great.

are you going to see HP or MPG increase? minimal at best is my guess.

I've had a throttle body spacer for over 7 years, I got it when I was 16. Don't waste your money

Ask yourself this: If it is better why didn't Ford just make it that size in the first place? Its almost as bad as wheel spacers.

Its like those "Tornado's" ..that were supposed to vortexs the air as it entered the intake. Horse Power tv did a special with it on a Bently and nothing was gained. I see some gains if you could mix the air/fuel quicker before the throttle but the butterfly slows that down and the air and fuel mixes in the cylinder via a computer program on most cars now. Any gains would involve pressurizing the the intake so that when the intake valve opens the air is forced into the cylinder instead of being drawn in by the piston being pulled down by the cranks shaft. Larger intake piping and a low restriction air filter help some but more serious means are needed to gain horse power then the room we have under our hoods. I once strapped a shop vac ( on exhaust) to the intake snorkel of my 80 Buick Century with a 3.8 V-6. It was parked in the garage, I just wanted to see what would happen. It idled faster and ran smoother.
