Transmission coolant mix

I recently purchased an 1993 Ford Ranger 4x4.,The Transmission doesnt move at all.I found that there is Trans fluid in the radiator and The overflow. And when I drained the transmission that the fluid looked like chocolate milk.Im assuming the radiator hase a leak between the two fluids. But whats the chance that my transmission is fried now as well ? I tried changing the fluid and filter and even adding lucas additive but the trans still doent move in any gear.Ill be replacing the radiator on payday.I was just wondering if I should swap the transmission as well ?or is it fixable? All help is welcome
