Transmission help!!!!

Ok so i think my truck is ok but i'm not sure. i have a 99 4.0L with 230,000 and it literally runs better than ever. however, i like to sometimes give it full throttle just to make sure everything is copasetic. Well tonight on ride home i was going up a hill and decided to punch it from a dead stop. truck did great until i believe it hit 3rd gear. it then decided it was in neutral and the revs went up to like 5k with no acceleration. i immediately let foot off the gas (i thought i had blown my tranny) but after about 2 seconds it kicked into gear and all was well. i did NOT try full throttle again, but i did continue driving for approx 30 minutes with no more random neutrals. Anyone know what caused this??? should i be concerned??? with so many miles i know the truck won't be perfect but it's my baby and i want it to work :) thanks!!!
