Transmission issues

I have a 98 ford ranger and I’ve been on here recently talking about my overdrive light flashing. I have tried just about everything to fix it. I’ve put in overdrive button because it threw that code a brake switch new speed sensor. Then it started throwing p1705 TR sensor out of self test and p1501 vehicle speed sensor. I’ve checked the TR sensor and the truck starts in neutral still. I’ve replaced everything but the tr sensor. In the past it threw a torque converter code but hasn’t since I replaced the overdrive switch and the brake switch. Today it threw brake switch speed sensor and overdrive switch code but not the TR sensor. I know it has to be something electronic but not sure what. I’ve checked the plugs and everything. I’m out of idea’s any suggestions?

1998 Ranger uses the rear axle ABS sensors and GEM module to get Vehicle speed signal
Only 1998 to 2000 Rangers used this method

The 2 wires at rear axle ABS sensor go directly to the ABS module, but both are spliced into and that signal also goes to GEM, behind the radio
The GEM converts the 30,000PPM ABS signal to an 8,000PPM(pulse per mile)
The 8,000PPM signal then goes out of GEM to speedometer/odometer, computer and cruise control module if so equipped, they all share this signal on 1 wire

So VSS(vehicle speed) code with working speedometer means its a computer issue, or that 1 wire on computer pin 58
If speedometer is also acting up then its a GEM issue, if ABS light is also on then its a rear axle sensor issue
So if ABS light works, comes on with key on and goes off, and doesn't come on when driving then rear axle sensor is fine

Since you are having multiple codes, including VSS, then VSS issue could be the root problem since transmission shifting is all about RPM and speed

Ignore P1705 its a test code
As is P1501

What are the exact codes for brake sensor and Speed and OD?
