Under-drive pulley price

I've been interested in an under-drive pulley, but can't believe the price! $250 for one pulley?! Can somebody direct me to a reasonably priced under-drive pulley?

CNC'd custom aluminum pullies arent all too cheap... plus being that its on an engine that isnt the most popular around, usually means its more expensive. Thats how people with civics and things find it much more enjoyable for modding... high business rates, high demand, means it drops prices down pretty well. You'll find this pricing stuff all around for engine mods on our trucks

You also have to remember that on the 4.0 SOHC they have the dampener built into the crank shaft pulley. Prices are better now then they used to be thanks to the 4.0 in the 2005+ Mustang.

Isn't the Harmonic balancer what drives up the price?

Have you checked out Stuff For Your Ranger? A complete pulley set for my 3.0L is almost the same price as one pulley for your 4.0L. The complete 5 piece set for the 4.0L is $447.00, yikes.

most say "no". I haven't bought mine yet, but they are on my list. I have heard that you will feel some better immediate acceleration, but you get used to it within a few weeks and then it doesn't feel any different.

I paid $250 for mine through one of these R-F vendors.

btw, It costs so much because it has the damper in it. No way around it..

well the price for what you actually gain with these pulleys isnt that great. i would recommend getting an Xcal tuner, that will give you more for your money IMO
