Welcome to the forum

I assume you would mention if the Theft Light(lock light) was flashing rapidly when there is a no start?

When you shut off a vehicle the heat in the engine bay spikes up high, no fan and no water pump, no air flow at all, since hood is closed, so......................spike in temp
It reads like you have a heat sensitive part under the hood
Do you notice it happening only after engine is warmed up or only on warmer days?

Ignition coil pack has 3 coils inside it, so all 3 would have to be effected or engine would start and run on 2 or 4 cylinders if one coil was heat sensitive
But still possible, since all ignition coils will always stop working if they get too hot, and then work fine when they cool down a bit

When you turn on the key you can hear the fuel pump in the gas tank run for 2 seconds, but only for 2 seconds
Turn key on and off as many times as needed until you KNOW what fuel pump sounds like, then next time there is a No Start listen for it to run, so rule it out as the problem or confirm it is the problem, it might not be the pump itself, but the pump relay in the engine bay or a connection thats getting to hot

50/50 test
Its a pain but it will tell you if the problem is spark or fuel instantly
Get a can of Quick Start(ether) to carry in the truck, also screwdriver to remove air cleaner
Next time there is a No Start
Remove air cleaner and spray the ether into the engine
Try to start it
If it fires up and dies then spark is OK, fuel flow(injectors/pump) is the problem
If it doesn't start then Spark is the problem
50/50

There is only 1 sensor that can cause a no start, Crank sensor, but they fail and then don't work again, never intermittent, and they rarely fail, so its not a sensor issue, for sure
And there is also a Cam sensor, can't cause a no start, but if cam sensor was sending computer "pulses" when cam spins but crank sensor was not sending "pulses" then a code would be set, and CEL would stay on once engine was started again
I would see if there are any codes in memory, auto parts store will read them for free, WRITE THEM DOWN and post them here
