Well, I got my MAC today...

I love it. It looks and sounds awesome. I noticed the difference as soon as I started it, you can hear it pulling the air in. Awesome. No idleing problems or check engine light. I took it for a ride and she's purring like a kitten. I just thought I'd post some pictures of the finished install in case anyone wanted to see ANOTHER Ranger with a MAC.

The next thing I'd like to do is get a stainless sleeve kit for some of the hoses. I was checking on Summit but was wondering if anyone had any idea where I could find something like that?

I have no idea how much HP it added. I'm sure someone will chaime in and be able to answer that for you. That really wasn't why I got it anyway. I like knowing the truck is able to breathe a little better and isn't as restricted when the airbox is on. It's not a horrible restriction I don't think. It sounds good too witht he Flowmaster on there. I did the airbox mod before and left the little plastic piece that was behind the headlight off. It allowed alot more room for the filter.

Overall, I give it a 10 out of 10. I'm really impressed. The install was super easy too. It was actually easier to look at the pictures then to read the directions in some spots. The only reason it took an hour and a half to install was because I was paying more attention to what was on the radio then just doing it. lol

Yeah I did get lucky with the blue fittings didnt I? lol

yeah i'm going to switch to the AMS I think.....eventually. The MAC filters come pre-oiled don't they? I couldn't find any info that said they did but I recall reading on here before that they were pre-oiled.

I had one in my 97 and never had a problem with the MAF. You just can't get crazy with the oil when you're putting it on.

Thanks for the comments on the clean engine bay....what can I say, the truck is babied lol

I have a MAC catalog sitting right here next to me and it says the added HP is 10.7....but doesnt say what RPM range...blah...who cares.

I got the info for the MAC basically from reading posts here and from the www.jusnesmodified.com site. I checked out the MAC web site too.

Were you looking ofr any kind of specific info on the intake? I'm sure theres alot of guys here that can chime in and help you out more then I can.

You can get them locally at places like pep boys. It's in the old school section with the carb filter kits, valve covers, plug wire spacers, etc.

If you are looking at the ricer stuff (neons, intake kits, etc), just turn around and you will see the stuff. It's on the same aisle at the stores around here.
