My engine in my (99 ranger 4.0ohv no egr 4x4) it got 130k miles and I've known since 126k it had a leaking head gasket and I'm starting to lose more coolant then usual so I've came to decision that ima buy another 4.0ohv motor. Bc I can't have my daily driver down long. I want the other motor so I can do some rebuild, put my headers tht are collecting dust, port and polish the heads and throw a 410 cam in it. This be much easier having a motor to work on while still having my ranger. The info I need is what do I need to match engines so computer and wiring will work. My 4.0 doesn't have egr equipped so if I got a motor with it equipped would I just need to switch over my intake over on the engine and problem solved? Idk. Any info is appreciated. Thanks guys!
