1998 5.0 Swap 5 speed swap questions

I have a 3.0l ex cab 2wd 5 speed that's gonna get a solid axle coilovers and then a 5.0. I have most of the SAS figured out now I'm curious about the 5.0. Swapping a 5.0 from a 99-01 with an auto wide is unacceptable. I need a tranny that will work 2wd or 4 I don't care it'll be a daily driver. So first question, t5.

Fitting issues and curious about my floorboard, will the shifter come out of my stock linkage holes or would I have to cut the floor up?

Secondly, If it's cheaper, or just easier than I'd expect, what fitting issues would I have with the f150 5.0 5 speed with tcase? from what I understand it can be a bit tricky to fit, Year specifics and model specifics are however hard to come by, any ideas?

I've got most of the info down, I need both harness's and there's very little splicing blah blah blah. PATS both type B, motor bolts in, gotta rock exploder ecu pcm all the wonderful details. Also gonna rock explorer disc rear axle and 4wabs/discs. If I'm gonna do the swap, it's gonna be a 5 speed, so before I go and buy a rolled *** explorer and let it sit in the yard for a month, what am I gonna need Trannywise to bolt a 5speed 2x4 or 4x4 in?

Thanks, 71 people who've viewed but have nothing to say(;
Found a lot of information elsewhere unfortunately. When I buy an exploder for the swap I might just do the 5 speed in it before I throw it in the ranger.

SWAP INFO
Zf 5 speed for granny first.
Literally everything can come off another 5.0l 5 speed, just have to be careful
Of what year Explorer you use because the VSS may be a part of the tranny, maybe the rear axle.
If you're lucky enough to do a swap with a rear axle mounted VSS you're gravy.
For automatic rangers- need clutch pedal linkage linkage in firewall master and slave system manual starter is required from what I see as the auto starter has worked from what I see, but will not disengage the flywheel in a lot of applications. Flywheel Throwout and anything else obviously from a reg 5 speed swap is required, a lot easier than people make it. Auto tuned ecu needs reprogramming to kill neutral safety switch and auto sensor, a few trannys have shift linkage at same spot as ranger will post more later
