I'm having the worst time figuring out one plug/connector. Its on the explorer charging harness and ac. I am using a 2000 explore swap in my 2000 ranger. I used the explorer charging harness. There is that one plug..that has the thick yellow wire for the starter. I know and have read that there is two wires for the ac that has to be moved ect... I just can not picture this..can anyone explain to me maybe with pics. As soon as my heads get here from the porter..Ill be putting it together This is the 2000 explorer harness this is the 2000 ranger plug
While I'm here...guess this will be my build thread. Believe it or not, got the idea about 4 years, yeah..4 years ago to build me a nice travel/daily driver ranger. I've built so many v8 s10's . Some race and a.lot of daily drivers. They are a dime a dozen. Not knocking them..they are great little.trjcks too. Bu the rangers do have more cab room.and do ride better. Look better to in my opinion.
so fast forward to today..
Looked and looked for a rust free stepside regular cab with ALL power options including keyless entry for a long time. Found one down in Pensacola Florida and bought it for $600 with a blown headgasket 3.0. Got it up here to the midwest and it sit in my driveway for a year. Got busy with life and work and sold it. Regret that! So I found another one, a black 2000 reg cab with every single option you could get in that truck including factory 6 cd changer!
Again..it has been in the garage for over 2 years. Finally starting to take shape.
Engine is a 142k mile 2000 mountaineer 302. I drove it down the street and it ran like a sewing machine. Brought it for $700 for the engine. Sd the cats for 550..sold the rest of the truck minus the harness, computer, radiator and condenser for $450. So..free engine, brand new battery and $800 Pioneer cd/DVD player! 😎👍
Plan was..bone stock swap using a t5. Just a nice daily/travel truck driver. That changed the night befor I was foxing to.drop the 302 in. I sold the stock foxbody t5 and purchased a Z-spec t5.
So... engine on the engine stand, I'm sitting out in the garage..I decidex right then to yank the heads off and have a look. Literally looks brand new.
I got a set of Track Heat aluminum heads with 1.6 RR's. Sent the heads and upper lower intakes, Tb off the bave major port work done. Waiting on the heads to gt finished up now as we speak.
I'll be running 24 or 30 lb lnjectors , pro M 77 maf., Anderson cam... Torque Monster headers, 2 1/2 exhaust into black widow venum 250 mufflers
engine should be very close to 350 to the tire 22 inch kevlar clutch line and parts .7/8 bore slave Painted the int Bbk 77 mm maf
