There's this little section of the site which covers V8s......It's called "V8".

RPS has some good threads too on a 302/5.0L swap. T5 shifter location is too far back for a ranger....or you can do it, but the handle would be like the shifter in a shelby AC Cobra. Bob Rwenzing has a nice thread. So does Andy/Int3rc3pt3r.

headers will need to be fabricated, what kind of 302 are you going with?? Carburated or a 5.0L out of a mustang/Explorer?? The expo 5.0L has all the right brackets on it from the factory to make it fit in our engine bays.....alt bracket, ps bracket, water pump, etc, etc. Go check out Rwenzing's thread.

if you are going to build a halfway decent 302/306 and beat on it, get a tremec . . . you can move the shifter position too.
