351W random ?'s

I am debating on doing this and i have a few ?'s...if i go with a carb'd 351 and a c6 will i still have a use for the computer? also will the shifter on the column still work to put it in park and drive an what not? also what will i be looking at for fuel delivery?i was thinking a mechanical fuel pump but does that mean i need a fuel cell or can i use stock tank?

i have, but no one has said anything about the computer on a carb'd setup. i've read lots of talk about it when using EFI but not with carb.

Well I'm sure you could go carbed but you might as well throw away all the electronics in your truck. You could run a painless wiring harness to take care of the electronics. ABS would be gone. You probably couldn't use your factory gauges. Basically the entire truck would have to be rewired.

im building a mild 351W for my truck but i dont know if i wana make it stick or auto

stick= little more fun alot easier to work on ect ect

auto= im (bleepin) lazy! ( when it comes to shifting hahah)

im leaning tords stick

but

im starting with a fr aluminum 351Wblock punched 40 over a mild stroker kit forged
remand p&p stock heads ported bowls roller rockers with a mild cam and for now a single holly 4bbl carb somewhere around the 730-800 range?

i think it would cook but mainly will be a dd that has the grunt to push bigger tires at hway speeds 80-130 >:D you know

and later down the road i would put a mild supercharger with a bigger or possibly twin 4bbl
