Alright bud, here you go. Yes, get the AA mounts, they are the best off-the-shelf mounts you can buy, and they will basically bolt right in. As far as exhaust, you have a few options since they are non gt40p heads. There are many manufacturers of headers for your swap. AA, L&L, Heddman, James Duff, all make them. You could also run Explorer manifolds to save some cash, Im pretty sure they will work with no issues as I have them in my truck, and they share the same frame (mine was a 2.3 2wd when it left ford). IIRC, you wont need a custom oil pan, look around on here b/c I think a factory style dual sump pan will work. As far as the intake and harness, they will not work. The truck style intake will hit the hood. Here's what I would do personally. Snag what hes got, and replace the intake with a 96-97 NON-DPFE style explorer upper/lower intake. It is easy to identify b/c it has no external EGR tube. Then, get a MAF Mustang harness that had a 5 speed, and run a 5 speed from a 97+ 4.2L equipped F-150. Your current master cylinder will work with the slave cylinder in that trans, and the shifter will be in the same spot too.
Thats what I would do if I were building a 2wd V8 Ranger... But haveing seen the truck, I honestly wouldn't put that much effort into it b/c you are going to have double the trucks value in the swap. If I were you, I would keep driving it, keep getting the good Fuel mileage, and keep beating the **** out of it.
