hello i suppose to buy ranger 1997 for swap project for now i as no motor and no tranny differential is original and gear to so me i want put 5.0 from mustang with carburator and for the tranny automatic but i dont now the model fit there sameting for the gear but im sur i want swap v8 with moore hp like 400 hp ok if you have anithing answer for me i will apreciate tanks,,you,,

Is that one long sentence? Wow! The easiest way to get a 5.0 in the Ranger is to find a wrecked Explorer or Mountaineer. All the wiring matches up to the ranger. Exhaust clears everything. Keep the fuel injection. Just put the whole drivetrain in it. The rearend will have 3.73's and rear disc brakes. Looks like a factory installation when done. Also start reading a lot in the swap forums....this has been done so many times, there is tons of info already here.
