Gathering parts...

I have my 302 H.O and my c4 ready. What I am looking at is changing the rear gear. My 2000 has 3.73's. I want 3.55's or 3.08's I haven't made up my mind just yet. My question is will the gears from a late model mustang fit? I have found a set of each if they will fit. Thanks for the help.

If the rearend in your Ranger is an 8.8 and the gears that you found are for an 8.8 then yes they will fit.

I have used this cam a few times and I have always liked it. I have this cam in my Ranger V8 conversion right now with 1.6 roller rockers and all though I have not driven it around every day it works great with my 4R70W automatic with a stock converter. As far as the operating range of this cam its 2500 to 5500 and I have driven everyday with one in my 89GT with a 5speed and I never had any problems driving in stop and go traffic. I hope that this helps in some way.
