motor mounts
well after lots of work and tinkering around iwth it after work and such,i have got the motor and trans in and runing, ordered my last part tonight and that was the transfer case adapter, from advance adapters, the bad news isthat the part will not be in untill the end of may,( thye dont have the shaft in stock) but i will try and get some pictures up and maybe a small vid when i get my transfer case adapter, thanks for every noes help, could not have done it with out it!!! thanks
well i ordered my advance adapter the end of april and they told me it was going to be coming around the end of this month!! im like ok, they say they are out of shafts to complete the kit( c-4 kit the longer one kit) i am completly done with my truck besides and the entire swap and have been for at least 3 weeks!!!! well i get off the phone with them today and now they moved the date back to july 20th, now im kinda upset its been two months and still no parts, and im ready to drive the ranger(been over 4 months since i started this swap) but my question is, are there any other companys that make transmission adapters/transfer case adapters, if so i will call them and see when and what they can do for me? thanks
Sorry to get in on this so late, but did you ever consider a Dana 20 t-case behind your c-4? They came factory in early broncos behind the c-4. You would just need the adapter(stock) and the t-case. I picked my 20 up for 200.00 here in CO and there are tons of after market parts available. I'm glad your sticking with the C-4. I have a C-6 in mine, and even though there wasn't many problems on the install and its bulletproof, its a HP pig. Good luck.....
Those plates look suspiciuslly like my stock 4.0 mounts and the custom plates 1/2" aluminum ones I made for my 5.0 :)
well after the long two months of waiting i get the adapter i have been waiting for. i just have to have the transmission sent out for the new shaft to be installed, i was going to do it but my dad ad a few buddies said it would be best if i had some one else tackle that. has any one ever done it and if so how hard was it to put the new transmission shaft in? i had the tail housing off and stuff and it appears that a few clips are keeping the shaft from coming out, but im not sure! any help?
