yep,
gona put the proper torque converter in at the end of summer
i also want to try to make a custom dash like one of the other guys on this forum did.
i really need to make the engine bay look nice and thats when i will try to battle the slight overheating issue.
with the front apart i will maybe try to either put a bigger radiator or alluminum radiator in it or maybe a second fan.
the final thing will be paint.
at this point time is gona be the bigger issue than money.
it is hard to tear apart something that runs but if i do it during winter it shouldnt be too big of deal since it has no heater anyway...maybe i will try to rig up a heater box and heater core

so, as i was leaving lowes yesterday some guy in a nice lincoln truck was parked by my ranger. he got out after i started it and said he heard me pull into the parking lot and waited for me to come out so he could ask me bout my truck. i guess the thrush turbo tube mufflers dont really muffle that much...lol
he said he always wanted to build a ranger with a v8 so i showed him underhood and told him bought the issues he will face. it felt good to have someone in a sweet lincoln truck admire my beat up old ranger but he was a true gearhead and if he can afford a lincoln i bet when he builds his ranger it will be nice!

put ranger up for sale today. been thinking bout sellin it and my escape to buy a nice f150 but if it doesnt sell then i will finish the project...

gona take it down to frame and start over..kinda

rebuild rear end, replace steering gear and power steering pump both are leaking, new brake lines, new fuel tank and lines, cut tranny crossmember so i can make it removable, get headers re coated, blast and paint or rhinoline frame and underside of bed and cab, redo interior and paint the whole thing, also need to replace oil lines with braided steel. btw, i replaced shocks front and back and on back i put spring shocks that increased load capaicity ALOT! Now i can haul scoop and half of mulch with no squat!
I wana make it a daily driver with no worries
