Sweet and sick...

Hi everyone,
after going over to see about tuning someones ranger xlt and getting disapointed and entertained at the same time i went and seen something that looked real sweet and nasty at the same time. I should've brought my camerera with me on this one. I saw a 514 Big Block in a ford ranger today. Blown 514 Big Block in a Ranger?! He said it was Track only use. I said I say so. 1,000 Hp 900 lbs of torque naturally asperated in a ranger. Jesus. Pas me a cigarette. Wow. Choppy Choppy to say the least. I don't even want to know how much he had to fab on this one. The whole front end looked stock but it wasn't do to the size of the engine. Alot of time on the shrinker and english wheel and power hammer too for that matter. Whew. I am trippin out over this one. That dude was kool. He even took the time to look at my little 3.0 and offer some tips on V8 swaps. I listened very, very carefully considering the last Time I saw him he had a 5.7 Hemi in a 99 Plymouth Prowler. he just happend to be at here to get tickets for the Sharpie 500 at bristol motor speedway. Damn that was a killer truck. he done a superb job on that Ranger. 6 in body lift, 36x12.50 tires, Flowmaster dual exhaust with each super 40 muffler having duel outlets, custom fuel tank with the filler located in the bed, custom intake maniold, custom headers, custom rims etc. About 95% of that ranger was kustom. If I had my camera with me he'd probably get truck of the year on here instead of the month. I really got sick when he said he spent about $14,000 dollars on the paint job alone. WoW! He purchased his tickets online 6 months and was picking them up if ur wandering. That race was sold out months ago.

6" body lift....wow.

Hold on here. This is ALMOST as bad as that roller-rockers thread you started..

So it has a blower?

He said it was Track only use. I said I say so. 1,000 Hp 900 lbs of torque naturally asperated in a ranger.
Now its ' naturally aspired '? :261:

Easy dayo J. i didn't give full details. The Blower was for "looks only" my dear. He wouldn't "give away" all of his secrets. Plus I don't believe it's "naturally asperated" either. I just wish I had my digital camera and I could show u. He was pretty kool about it but not that kool. plus he did stop from looking over his engine a few times too. U are now on my **** list for wanting me to banned. I HAVE NO REPSECT FOR U NOW NOR COURTESY. SO HERE'S TO U KUNT!

I wish I could've put pics but dummy me forgot his digital camera. That thing was incredible and drop dead gorgeous. He did tell me he went to SKY JACKERS though. A black metallic base coat with a high metal flake and Candy Blue "ghost" paint over it. He used Dupont Paints. Unlike Dayno J who doesn't know about "off roading" living in buffalo, NY. Hey Dayno J. why don't u go ride ur snowmobile and pretend its a ranger set up for off roading. U disrespectful Liar of a broad who should be banned for trying to get me banned. What her problem is I don't know. All he told me was how long it took him and who he got his parts from but not what they were or how much he spent. He's that type of cat that doesn't like for anyone to even somewhat copy his set up. I doubt he'd even let me near it with a camera. he ran others off b4 they even had a chance to snap one. He was unkool to them.

knightmare1015 02-16-2008 04:04 AM

Dayno J. What is ur problem with me I don't know. But if u have an issue with me then pm me and we'll try to come to some sort of agreement. But I have tried to show u respect and u have not gave me any in return. The reason I tried so hard to show u respect is because ur a female who's into trucks and cars, not too many women choose this as a hobby cause clearly u have not taken any technical classes, built any race cars, got to see first hand what goes into a truck/car other than ur own. and u were not in the shop to see what goes on when repairing an O.E.M vehicle. If u respond to this paticular comment on the term O.E.M in a negative way,we'll all know for sure ur a fraud. And further more I am many things but a liar I am not. That was uncalled for and unprofessional like on ur behalf. U shouldn't wish for someone to get banned. and for sure u shouldn't have downed the off roading industry. That's like telling me u can't use a turbocharger on a carb when it can and has been done. If u don't belive me check out older nissans and porsches as well as VW's.

black-n-blue 02-16-2008 06:09 AM

d is a guy.. and his truck is well built.. i think the basis of his claims were that you stated he had a 6" body lift.. which is just ridiculous.. and u said said it had a blower then turned around and contradicted yourself by saying it was naturally aspirated

INT3RC3PTOR 02-16-2008 07:43 AM

WTF is this ****?... calln people Kunts, i think the FNG needs to leave

Dear? SORRY, I'm not your type.

He wouldn't "give away" all of his secrets. Plus I don't believe it's "naturally asperated" either.
How do you have a blower, bolted to your intake, which impedes the air intake system, NOT work?

I just wish I had my digital camera and I could show u. He was pretty kool about it but not that kool. plus he did stop from looking over his engine a few times too.
?!?!? can anyone else comprehend what hes trying to say?

U are now on my **** list for wanting me to banned.
ROFLMAO. Uber-n00b, its a smiley, used by many people.

I HAVE NO REPSECT FOR U NOW NOR COURTESY. SO HERE'S TO U KUNT!
Glad I saw this before the mods did so I have a chance to reply.

1.) I'm NOT female. Its an avatar picture.
2.) I'm NOT ' your type '. I might be in your dreams along with all these ' tunings ' and ' blown but naturally aspired engines ', but I do support your right to choose whatever makes you happy, even your right to marry the ' same '.
3.) I've probably more time moding ranger trucks then you have looking at and driving them. Many on this site have seen/driven/abused mine to verify such. Somethings speak for themselves.
4.) I'm literate enough to put together a full sentence and courteous enough to edit posts to make them look sensible and showing intelligence to at LEAST a minimal degree.

And most importantly..

5.) The owner of this site states its a ' family orientated ' site, why not respect such and refrain from using profane terms in the ' general ' or ' public ' portions of the site? It would only make YOU look more ' respectable '.

From reading what few messages you have posted, I have come to a conclusion that I believe has good merit. You claim to ' tune ' (sic) Vehicles, yet you didn't even know how to set valve lash? How do you properly time a cam when the valves aren't seating/opening properly? How Can there be a blower thats only ' for looks '? ' Nitrous is bad '? Son, I've run HUNDREDS of bottles through 3 different engines in my present ranger and quite a few through the one before it. Theres at LEAST 15-20 people here running the happy-juice that have been to meets and on RPS as well.

https://www.ranger-forums.com/forum2/member.php?u=509 <-- Thats a verified cred-a-bility list of what I've done to the misleading info your propagating. Don't take my word for it, Take Redneck Stones, Zabeards, Sk0ts, rwenzingers, ne3lz's or any of the other 50-100+ folks I have associated with from here. Even those whom don't care for me will verify that list of mods and agree its all ' real '. I might be a ' jerk ' or some other reprehensible term you choose to use, but when it comes to working on a vehicle, I have a pretty good idea on what I'm doing and everyone will state such.

The reason I'm saying this as there might be a member on here whom listens to your ' advice ' and wrecks something, possibly injuring themselves in the process. Thats something nobody wishes to have happen.

I got a little wound up excuse me. I won't b back if I can't get any respect from anyone after going thru hell starving trying to get my FORD FACT certifacation along with ASE and a few others. getting barbqued by nos, having shrapnel in my back and ass from where an oxyaccetlene torch exploding, spending 8 months in a hospital and another year learning how to walk after my ride blew up with me in it. Yeah I tend to take things like that personal. I guess no body as ever heard of the suspension company called SKY JACKERS. Like I said i was wound up. and plus i have had a really bad week. So Dayno J. here's My test for u. Can u run 87 octane on 11.0:1 compression? If u say no we'll know for sure who's picked up a wrench and who hasn't.

04blackedge 02-16-2008 08:26 PM

Will you just leave? All you've done is create problems. D. has probably the most experience working on ranger engines in here, i bet 99% of members here will back me up on that too.

dlibson 02-16-2008 08:34 PM

Dude you need to layoff and stop, or just go back to school. If you've burned yourself with nos, blown up a torch, and blew up your own car I don't care what certifications you have. You and your wrench stay away from me and my real ASE certification. Master Mechanic certification. What test's have you passed, and how?

Your "Story" is crazy. Who builds a track truck with a 6" lift? Morons? Oh 6" body lift? lol Come one man. We aren't idiots around here. Use a spell checker and grammar checker so we know what your saying too!

I didn't blow it up someone else did. I just happened to b in the wrong place at the wrong time idiot. and to answer ur question ASE Standard certifacation, ASE 609, Diesel ASE master. And yes u can run 87 octane on 11.0:1 compression. Here's how idiots. ADVANCE THE TIMING ON THE ENGINE 45 Degrees and change to low impedance injectors. U all failed miserably. CHEVY RULES TO ME NOW. THINGS WOULD'VE BEEN KOOL IF I WASN'T BEING CALLED AN IDIOT, LIAR, and if my credibility questioned. I seen a sick but gorgeous truck and tried to tell u guys about it and this is what I get. No wonder u guys have alot of bad reviews.

04blackedge 02-16-2008 09:07 PM

If you could learn to spell then maybe no one would call you a idiot or question your credibility. Where are all these bad reviews anyway?

Dude......that reminds me of dat bad azz Charger in the Fast and the Furious!! Dude, that movie got me into street racing! It's hella sick yo. That things gotta 2 be rockin NOS. My crx jus got da fake blower out da hood...and it launches to hard, leffts the front wheels off da ground!

Toreador4x4 02-16-2008 11:32 PM

I was wondering the same thing when i read this. How would you have a blower "just for show" simple, you wouldnt. I am 19 and am only certified by the state of Michigan as a mechanic, and nothing you have said thus far has made sense to anyone, including your question to D. about running 87 octane in an 11:1 motor and advancing the timing 45 degrees. You are truly a nightmare as your username states. did you come here for anything other than an argument?

ditto... I didnt know there was forum review place... lol.. geez...

NicksterSVT 02-16-2008 11:50 PM

nos... what is nos... if you are referring to nitrous oxide.... it isnt flammable.

Diesel Ranger 02-17-2008 12:25 AM

WOW, all I can say is WOW!

"Diesel ASE master"? HMMMMMMMM I smell BullChit. I usually stay out of this, but the "Blower was for looks" comment has me just giddy. SO Mr. Dieselmaster, explain something to me. Its pretty simple, we will start here, and work up if need be. WHat is the size of a 6.0 liter diesel engine stock injector, and what is the main difference in how it fires compared to that of a Common rail? Damn, I am gonna have to subscribe to this one. Can you please post a link to those fake blowers? I need one of those to hide my flux capacitor.

D. 02-17-2008 12:38 AM

Guys..

I think we all need to lay-off of this ' nightmare ' kid.

He answered his own question if 87oct gas will work in an 11:1 compression engine before anyone even attempted to do such. In the process, he had quite a load of adjectives for everyone.

How would someone know to even advance timing ' 45 degrees ' in an 11:1 compression engine when the engine TYPE was never even stated? Is it a 4 banger? v6? 8? Straight 6?

Just what kind of heads are on that engine and will the duration of the cam or its profile even allow such a timing without firing with a valve open? I'm sure he would know such even though he needed ' clues ' on how to set valve lash in another thread.

A LONG time ago, a wiseman on Generation edge ( very long time ago, Jason Allen even ran the joint at the time! ) told me if I was going to offer anything on any forum, make sure it was correct and SAFE.

I've tried to live by such as I wouldn't want to put anything out there that caused someone to damage their trucks, property or injure themselves. Theres a certain level of ' liability ' but that runs second best to knowing you could have helped lead someone, friend or not , to a worse fate then if they took something to the proper people to have it fixed/modded right at the beginning.

Nightmare.. If you've fragged yourself , blown yourself up, had to go to the hospital and had all these.. ' issues ', maybe its time to find something more healthy for yourself ( I say this in all kindness ) then working on cars/trucks/engines. Its great to be enthused enough to want to do something, but when it has such effects ( the ones you have mentioned ), maybe its not for you.

This site has an Electrical Guru in Bob Wenzinger. If he doesn't mind me saying such ( as a compliment ) , he worked in Detroit for many years designing the brains that control our modern engines for several different MFGR's.

This site has a great Enthusiast in John Griggs. Hes done a LOT of ' original ' mods like the noted ' Overhead Consol ' and keypad lock setups. He has tinkered and forgotten more about these trucks then You and I will even know.

Nickster has built QUITE an establishment on the SOHC engine not only for our trucks, but for the mustang. Hes put quite a few hours into not only his truck, but others on this site.

ZaBeard, Jey ( Hes awol right now, in school ) and many others have been working on SAS conversions. Everytime someone starts one, theres a list of people offering insight on what they did, the problems they ran into , and how things are being resolved or ( snicker :) ) broken worse.

Theres many guru's in many DIFFERENT areas of our trucks. Theres no ' 1 person ' whom is the ultimate tomb of knowledge and no single ' authority ' BUT.. There are a LOT of people whom have been on the ranger forums since 2002, one large group, and it has seen and done a lot of what your describing yet never the same results you have.

I've posted pictures before of what a 4.0SOHC engine looks like when its plastic intake grenades from Nitrous and puddling. I know for a fact, it wasn't the nitrous, It was MYSELF that was the problem. 3 intake manifolds and a learning from a local dyno shop later, I can now honestly say I have a clue. I can also honestly say I put an extra 100+HP to the real wheels of *my* truck . You want to know how I made it there? Breaking things.

You want to know what the difference in our failures are? I was wise enough to consult with others before I claimed to know everything about something.

Have you ever heard of a Hobbs Switch? When used, they can cut-off the electrical feed to solonoids/valving used for induction of N2O on your intake. When setup correctly, theres virtually NO chance of ever going ' overboard '.

Nitrous Oxide doesn't ' burn ' either, it freezes and oxidizes.

If your going to beat the guy down.. fine, I'll stay out of your way as the only thing I know about ' your kind ' is it makes more noise, stinks and I have one in my driveway..

BUT!

I'll give you 2-5 odds he doesn't read your profile or sig before he answers. :approve:

Nah, Trolls usually run their course. We have had our share on our site as well.

No early flight home. Just started a 4 day, currently in Phoenix. Tomorrow night Denver, then Baltimore, then home Tuesday night.

It hurts my feelings that you think mine stinks more. LOL
