wiring troubles

Hey guys, i`m back again with a new problem. The engine wiring harness disconnect for my ranger dosnt seem compatable with the 88 mustang one I have. Is there a conversion kit I can get or an adapter I can buy a so I can hook it all up and get it to work?

88' is Speed Density, they could have a different pin harness than the MAFS (Mass Air) setup that 89'+ Mustang uses and your Ranger originally had.

I had an 88' GT but never compared.

Can you be more specific please. Which engine wiring harness are you referring to? The one connecting to the PCM?

There is no converter to attach a Mustang Engine Harness, to a Rangers Chassis Harness. It has to be modified. The Mustangs Engine Harness must be used to run the motor, and requires a few connections to the rangers chassis harness. You'll need to attach an ignition switch, power, ground, and fuel pump as the main ones. Do you have the 88 Mustang wiring diagram?

The Ranger station has the majority of wiring diagrams you will need. If not ford injection website has many.

is there a site that I can go to that lists what each of the colors for the wiring in the 42 pin connector on a 97-2000 ranger means so I can do this a little easier?
