Hello got a swap question

Hello to all. I just joined the forum. I am presently working for a 92 ranger to build for a 1/4 mile drag truck. I have a built 351 windsor with a c4, and that is what i want to put in it. The problem is i've looked everywhere for a set of headers, and i can't find any. I seen a ranger with a 351 windsor in it, but when i asked the person where did he get the headers from he just walked away. Go figure. And do you think the 2 peice drive shaft will up? Also the axle? Thanks all who reply.

If you're doing a swap I'm not sure that the driveshaft will even fit unless the new overall engine/tranny length is the same as the stock engine was. A custom one piece would probably be best for your application. As far as the stock axle goes I'm guessing it's the 7.5" version and they aren't very strong. You could probably get away with a newer explorer axle that is SUA. (Spring under axle). They have disc brakes, an 8.8" Ring Gear, and 31 spline axle shafts. Depending on what amount of power you plan on producing decides if that axle will hold. It should be good for about 375 hp or more. NicksterSVT has a supercharged 4.0 with the 8.8 and he hasn't had problems from what I know of. These headers should work as they are block huggers.

My 92 ranger had a one piece driveshaft backing a 302 with a c4. I have been trying to find the 351 headers as well. That will be my next motor. Well stroked some. lol
If you have a 7.5 it will hold up. But not at the track. I am hunting down the above mentioned rear as well.
