Icon10 12" subs reg cab truck

I think I am going to go with a different root since my 10" bazooka subs wont fit I am going to just put in two shallow 12" subs. Is there anything I should watch out for when doing this install? I like the sound of the 10" subs but I've decided brain rattling bass is the path I would rather take.

You will never fit 12's back there with enough air space to perform as they should. Unless your 3'4......

Not to be a jerk, but I don't think you'll get "Brain rattling" bass out of two shallow 12's.

I wouldn't get your hopes up over shallow subs, with the exception of the JL TW5.

That's not true, shallow 12's would fit. I mean you'd lose a click or two but it wouldn't be bad

Both can preform good, But they need to be in the right box. If they are both in the right boxes then the 12s will be louder. But if the 12s dont get the right amout of airspace then the 10s will probly be better. I think you shuld just do a blow through with 2 15 though.

i love em they hit really good. after what dude said above im calling all my buddies trying to find a digital camera so i can video it. i didnt lose any leg room just a little on the recline and my center console brackets. but yeah really good clean bass gives me a good back massage. i can go outside and watch all the windows and roof flex.

nice im looking at upgrading to 2 12" alpine type s shallow mounts in sometime soon maybe '
does your box fit between the 6x8 speakers in the back?
i was thinking of taking them out and make a box that goes all the way across the back and mount the amp in the middle
think you could post a picture of your set up now
