1999 Ranger-New stereo-Help!

Bought my son a 1999 Ranger regular cab. It came with an AM/FM factory radio only. I bought him an AM/FM/CD player that was stated to fit a 1999 Ranger. It fits physically just fine but the wiring harness on the Ranger does not fit. Where can I get a harness that I can splice into the truck wiring and then plug into the back of the new unit? Does the unit model number reveal what harness plug will fit? Thanks

Are we talking OEM AM/FM, and replacing that with a OEM AM/FM/CD? If so, the plug are the same. I did that in my dad's truck(now little brother's).

OR.....OEM to aftermarket? Say Pioneer, Kenwood, Sony, Panasonic???

If aftermarket go to Best Buy, Circuit city, Wal-mart, any stero store. There are harnesses that will wire straight to the the harness in the back of the new cd player and plug right into the old harness in the truck. Just get some wire crimmpers and some connecters. Follow the wiring guide.
