Reccomend a Stereo for my 1999 XLT.

Hey. Carl here. Can someone reccommend a stereo system that will allow me to use my Ipod, and my HTC Hero hands free (may be upgrading to the new iPhone this summer) that will fit into my 1999 Jalepeno Green Ford Ranger XLT and sound okay with the speakers that came with it? View screen would be nice, but not crucial.

I've been thinking of getting one of these for a while. Bluetooth for your phone, and the iPod control is on it.

The best thing about it is you can change to colour of the entire thing. Nice OEM look.

anything with an aux input. most can use an ipod, headunits don't matter as much as the rest of the system, The rangers speakers will sound okay depending on who your talking to. they do need bass and a sub will suffice. but if your more into the sound of things then don't worry so much about the headunit and more on the rest of the system, well powered, decent quality front speakers are your foundation..

I think Pioneer will be good. It has excellent output and effects. You'll surely enjoy it.
Try any model that fits your budget.

Double Din Pioneer Nav Units are nice and some are on sale now at Sonic Electronix… and 6th Ave Electronics - iPod Adapter, Bluetooth, Sat Radio if you want it, HD Radio, so on and so on.
The D-Series Pioneer Speakers look good also.
I have been told to use an amp to get the best sound.
