aloha guys
so i wanna start a new system, wondering what the effectiveness of a 4 channel amp would be like. i want to run my front speakers and a sub. but i noticed some amps ratings were 200 watts rms when bridged, doesnt seem like a whole lot of power compared to other mono amps for the sub. I know that with less amps the sound is alot cleaner. I wanna know if the 4 channels is enough do get a good boom from the subs. i already know the front speakers will sound amazing powered but the amp im not so sure i am quite a noob. :)https://www.ranger-forums.com/rf/for...ilies/spam.gif

If you have two amps, one for the speakers and one for the subs, the sound will be a LOT cleaner than if you're running subs AND speakers off one dinky 4 channel amp from walmart.

You can set the 4 channel amp to handle mid-higher freq. while boosting the power output of your front speakers, meanwhile you can set a mono amp to a lower freq. range.

 

I agree run a 4 Channel for your speakers. That's if they are not stock. I recommended 6x8s or a Component with Individual Tweeters that are mounted elsewhere. That way with a 4 Channel you be powering you speakers separately for a clean crisp sound with amazing vocals. Get either a mono or 2Ch amp for your sub woofer. It all depends on what the woofer needs for power. Remember run your RCA's and power wire on different sides to keep out interference.

 

if you just want to amp front speakers and a sub, probably want to use a 2ch and a mono for the sub. unless its a pretty low power sub.
